The bed was so comfortable, I slept in multiple times. The room was really nice, with plenty of space for a solo traveller. They provided pyjamas (which was a yukata type robe) and an amenity kit was placed on the door every morning. The location was great (at least for me). It really depends on what you want to focus on in Tokyo, but Inaricho station was only a 5 minute walk away, which gave you easy access to the Ginza line. Ueno station was approximately 15 minutes away, which really doesn’t feel as long as it sounds. That granted access to a plethora of convenient train lines, and I found it really easy to get to and from places. Shibuya and Shinjuku took ~40 minutes on the train to get to, which wasn’t a problem for me at all. Keisei Ueno station was also around a 15-20 minute walk away, which made it really convenient to get to Narita Airport after I checked out. Overall, I would really recommend this hotel. The room was very nice, and the location was great. They also held my luggage for me before I checked in and after I checked out.

Money & Food Concerns? - Next door you will find a large supermarket named Maru-Etsu. The store is open 24/7 with reasonably priced food & drinks. Bentos become cheaper in the evening (up to 30% off) so recommend going a little later . - Across the street there is a 7/11. It has an international ATM that supports various payment providers. You should be able to withdraw money there. - There are many 24/7 chains (Yoshinoya/Sukiya) + small shops that sell well priced food. Recommend taking a walk around! What about Transport? - If you need the JR Line Ueno Station is only a 8 minute walk. Inaricho station for Tokyo Metro (JR & Metro are different be careful) on the Ginza line is only a 2 minute walk. You can get to Asakusa really quickly from there. How was the Hotel? -Microwave provided which is excellent for heating up bentos. The room was comfortable & bed was nice and soft. The staff provided us with new towels & amenities e.g. green tea everyday which was fantastic.

There are a few APA hotels and we initially arrived at the one with a similar name to this but thankfully they both walking distance from each other. Staff were helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the snack we were given upon check in. The hotel is very clean. There is a microwave, ice and water machine on the First floor (Ground floor). Fresh towels and robe were given every day. Rooms are cleaned every three days regardless of whether you request it. Walking distance to Ueno station. As a group of 7 (3A, 4C), we booked 3 rooms and one of the rooms we booked had a view of the Tokyo skytree. We enjoyed seeing the lights at night. Would definitely recommend it.

The location is great! I was a bit apprehensive having seen previous reviews about the distance to Ueno station but it truly is only about a 6 minute walk from the right exit. You have to realize that Ueno station is big with many exit, so you might need to walk a bit more in the station itself. This makes it a perfect location to travel around the city using the metros. Also room is perfect size for 1 person. Considering it is a 2 person room.. I would not be happy with it for 2 people as then it is much too tiny. For 1 though; absolutely great! Also had a view of the Skytree! I personally also never had to wait too long for the elevator.

Very clean, very comfortable, very nice staff. APA Hotels are high quality middle-tier hotels, and this matches that expectation, they have a good standard whilst maintaining good affordability. The location of this APA is really handy, less than 5 minutes walk from Inaricho subway Ginza line which goes a lot of places in Tokyo, and only around 10 minutes walk to Ueno station which is one of the big stations that has trains going everywhere, including a Shinkansen connection. Also Ueno Park is on the other side of that station and there's loads of cool stuff there.
